Qualifications
- Meet financial guidelines based on annual income of family
- Live in the Decatur/Macon County area
- Are at least 35 years old or older
- 35-40 First mammogram by age 40 (one only)
- 40 & over Yearly mammograms
- Are not experiencing any breast symptoms
You are not eligible for a screening mammogram if you have:
- A breast lump
- Bloody drainage from the nipple
- Pain not related to your period
- Dimpling/puckering of the breast skin
- A personal history of cancer
- Breast implants or reconstruction
If you have any of these problems, please contact your doctor. DMH has a diagnostic mammogram program available regardless of your ability to pay.
