Specialized ACL Testing

acltest

ACL or anterior cruciate ligament tears in the knee are one of the most common debilitating injuries that plagues active people today. Sometimes, even after an MRI, the integrity of the ACL cannot be determined. The patient is confronted with a few options, rehabilitation, a surgical scope procedure, or KT1000 testing. The KT1000 is a specifically designed device to determine the integrity of the ACL. This device takes specific measurements to determine the amount of ACL laxity that may be present. The test is non-invasive and usually causes little to no discomfort to the patient. Dr. Becton is the only physician in Decatur to offer this type of service to his patients. If you are experiencing knee pain and your knee has been “giving out” and/or “feels loose” during activity, call Dr. Becton for an appointment today.
