Ultrasound Vascular Scan
Ultrasound is an excellent tool in the investigation of blood vessels. It is very useful in evaluating blood clots, blockages that lead to strokes, blockages that cause leg pain, ulcers, and aneurysms. The transducer is rubbed over the blood vessel of interest, such as the carotid arteries in the neck, and the measurements are obtained.
