Mammography

Mammograms are performed both at the DMH Women's Health & Breast Center located at 302 W. Hay and in the Radiology Department at DMH. Screening mammograms and Initiative mammograms are performed at the DMH Women's Health & Breast Center.

Following registration, a certified technologist will take you to the dressing room to change into a gown and then take you to the mammography room to perform the examination. Two views of each breast are standardly obtained for screening; however, sometimes additional views are needed. A dictated report is available within 8 hours of completion of your study.
