Brain Tumor Support Group
A support group for patients and family members diagnosed with benign and malignant brain tumors. The group meets at 10 a.m. every third Saturday. For details, call 217-876-6784.

A free monthly support group for cancer patients and spouses. The group offers an opportunity to share thoughts, feeling and information. For details, call 217-876-4750.

Eat Right to Help the Fight
A free bi-monthly support program to learn how to stay healthy during cancer treatment, which includes both optimal medical care and nutrition care.

  • Learn how to meet your body's needs and cope with low appetite, weight loss, taste changes, nausea, and other common symptoms of cancer treatment.
  • Learn how to increase your protein intake and/or calories .
  • Everyone gets a free 8 oz high calorie high protein smoothie--different every week!!

Classes presented by a clinical dietitian and will be 45 minutes and will conclude with a question and answer session.

The group meets at 1 pm on the 2nd and 4th Monday

Facing Cancer Together
A free monthly support group for cancer patients and their families. The group offers an opportunity to share thoughts, feeling and information. Together, people with cancer experience warmth, understanding and support. For details, call 217-876-4750.

Growing Through Grief
A five-week bereavement education series for family members who have lost a loved one. For details, call 217-876-6784.

Helping Hands
A grief support group for children. Call 217-876-6784.

HER (Helping Each Other Recover)
Provides information and "one-on-one" assistance for newly diagnosed breast cancer patients in Central Illinois. Call 217-876-4377 or toll-free 888-456-4377.

HIM (Helping Inquiring Men)
A support group providing one-on-one assistance to newly diagnosed prostate cancer patients. For details, call 876-4750.

Lymphadema Management Program
The Rehabilitation Center provides a lymphadema program for patients that experience abnormal swelling in a body part due to accumulation of lymph fluid in an arm, leg, face, neck, trunk, pelvis or groin. For details, call 217-876-2600.

Look Good Feel Better®
A free program offered in partnership with the American Cancer Society and taught by a cosmetologist. The program offers beauty techniques to help women cope with side effects with cancer treatment. Affiliated with the American Cancer Society. To register, call 217-876-6600.

Ostomy/Skin Care
An enterostomal therapist is available to care for patients who need help with ostomy, decubitus and skin care. Outpatient appointments are available. For details, call 217-876-2909.

Pink Link (Breast Cancer)
A group designed to address the needs of women at different stages in the treatment and recovery process. It is a time to share emotions and personal experiences. The group meets on the second Thursday of each month from 6-7:30 p.m. For details, call 217-876-4377 (HERS).

Renewal Support Group
Renewal is a monthly bereavement support group for those who have lost a loved one. The group meets the 4th Monday of each month from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at the hospice office. This group is meant to be a continuation of the "Growing Through Grief" series offered in the spring, summer, and fall. For more information, please call 876-6784.
