Decatur Memorial Hospital welcomes these physicians

Murtuza Bahrainwala, MD, has joined DMH Corporate Health. Dr. Bahrainwala completed an internal medicine/ occupational medicine residency in 2004 at Cook County Hospital in Chicago. He received a master’s in public health in 2000 from the University of Texas at Houston School of Public Health and a doctor of medicine degree in 1994 from Kasturba Medical College in Mangalore, India.

Hospitalist Suresh Pasya, MD, has joined the DMH Medical Staff. As a hospitalist, he sees patients exclusively admitted to the hospital. He joins DMH Hospitalists Drs. Larry Holder, James Neviackas and David Yu. Dr. Pasya completed an internal medicine residency in 2006 at John H. Stroger Hospital of Cook County in Chicago. He received a doctor of medicine degree in 1999 from Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India. He is a master’s degree candidate in public health at Western Kentucky University in Bowling Green. He is a member of the American College of Physicians. Dr. Pasya is originally from Huzurnagar, India.

Interventional Cardiologist Tansel Turgut, MD, has joined the DMH Medical Staff. He joins Illinois Heart Specialists working with Drs. Nidal Aker, Madhu Jyothinagaram and John Waters. Dr. Turgut completed an interventional cardiology fellowship in 1999 at the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, a cardiology fellowship in 1998 at Alton Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans and an internal medicine residency in 1995 at the State University of New York in Buffalo. He received a doctor of medicine degree in 1991 from Hacettepe University School of Medicine in Ankara, Turkey. He is board certified in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular diseases and internal medicine. He is a fellow in the American College of Cardiology and a member of the American Heart Association.
