Richard and Dorothy Ammann Golf Classic

Richard & Dorothy Ammann Golf ClassicThe Richard and Dorothy Ammann Golf Classic is an 18-hole, four-person scramble event sponsored by the Decatur Memorial Foundation and the Decatur Memorial Hospital Heart and Lung Institute. Started in 2003, the fund-raiser is named in honor of DMH Vice President of Professional Services Richard Ammann, who died of a heart attack in 2004, and his mother, Dorothy, who also died of heart disease. The event supports the programs and services offered through the DMH Heart and Lung Institute.

Thanks to the generosity of participants, proceeds from the event have supported the DMH Heart and Lung Institute’s continued goal of providing quality care to our patients and their families, patient services such as the cardiac nursing unit, heart center, rehabilitation and the catheter lab.

The 2008 event will be held on Friday, Aug. 15, at the Scovill Golf Course, 3909 W. Main St., on Decatur’s west side.
