Decatur, Ill…Remember your loved one with a holiday light at Decatur Memorial Hospital.
For each $10 donation, a light will be designated to shine at DMH through the holiday season. You will also receive a remembrance card with your loved one’s name written in calligraphy as a keepsake.
Since 1990, the hospital’s main entrance glows with hundreds of white lights; each shining light symbolizing the life of a loved one both past and present.
Decatur Memorial Foundation will host One Light to Remember, a lighting ceremony to commemorate and honor loved ones, on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at 5:30 p.m., in Barnes Lobby at Decatur Memorial Hospital. The event begins at 5:30 p.m. with performances by Millikin University’s A Capella Choir, First Baptist Church’s Carillon Bell Choir, and select members of the Millikin Youth Choir, accompanied by Beth Creighton. At 6:15 there will be a lighting ceremony just outside the main entrance of the hospital, which will include prayer and holiday carols.
