Decatur Memorial Hospital Upgrades da Vinci® Robotic-Assisted Surgical System Technology to the new da Vinci® Si™

 

Decatur Memorial Hospital has upgraded its da Vinci robotic-assisted surgical system to the new da Vinci® Si™ Surgical System third generation technology.

The da Vinci® Si™ has several unique features designed to provide additional clinical benefits and efficiency in the operating room, many of which translate to patient benefits. Some of the features of the da Vinci® Si™ include:

  • Enhanced 3D, high-definition vision operative field with up to ten times magnification
  • New optional dual console allows a second surgeon to provide assistance
  • Superior visual clarity of tissue and anatomy
  • Surgical dexterity and precision far greater than even the human hand
  • Updated and simplified user interface to enhance operating room efficiency
  • New ergonomic settings for greater surgeon comfort
